Pyramid Lake Fishing Report November 10, 2017

Fishing at Pyramid Lake continues to improve with the arrival of fall storm systems and cooling water temperatures. The mornings still have the most consistent bite but fish are being caught throughout the day. Balanced leeches(black/pink, peacock, midnight fire, truse, and black) and minnows (Moo, Bleeding, Drunken, and Upside Down), are accounting for most of my fish both stripped and hung under an indicator. Depths vary from 6′ to 10′ depending on time of day and the beach being fished. I havent been stripping shooting heads lately but the folks that are are finding success with beetles and boobies.

I have dates available in November and December and now is the time to enjoy the best fishing of the fall season at Pyramid Lake. Book your Pyramid Lake Guided Fly Fishing Adventure now!

Truckee River

Fishing is still solid on the Truckee but water temps are very cold (42-46 degrees) and crowds are light. Nymphing with small baetis and jiggy nymphs continues to be the mainstay but the streamer grab has been pretty good for those that are dedicated to the grab. Flows are very good for late fall. Get some before winter sets in for good!
